Manama, Bahrain: Batelco, Bahrain's leading telecoms services provider has once again been presented with a huge collection of awards at a prestigious international awards ceremony. Batelco took home one Grand Prix, one Gold, 11 Silver and several Bronze awards from the Dubai Lynx International Advertising Festival for its innovative and successful advertising campaigns of 2010, implemented by Bahrain's FP7.
The Dubai Lynx International Advertising Festival, which is part of Cannes international advertising festival, is a yearly event to award creative excellence in advertising and related fields in the Middle East and North Africa. This year, Dubai Lynx received more than 2000 entries from all over the region including telecom operators and big international corporations.
Batelco Chief Executive Bahrain Rashid Abdulla said that he was absolutely delighted to receive the great news that Batelco had been recognised for its creative advertising programmes
for 2010, and been presented with the coveted awards, including a Lynx Grand Prix award.
"For the first time in Bahrain's and Batelco's history, we have been awarded with not only one Grand Prix prize but additionally, one gold, 11 silver and many bronze prizes for our 2010 advertising campaigns," he said.
The Batelco Chief Executive Bahrain also extended his sincere thanks to all concerned at Batelco and FP7 Bahrain for their dedication and great efforts which delivered the selection of Lynx awards for the Company.
Batelco's General Manager Consumer Division Muna Alhashemi, Senior Manager Marketing & Communication Maha Abdulrahman and Head of Marketing Segmentation Abdulla Abuidrees were in attendance, to collect the awards.
Mrs. Alhashemi said that it was a great honour to be present at the awards ceremony to collect such an amazing selection of accolades on behalf of Batelco. She also noted FP7's major contribution to Batelco's success saying that the creativity of their team demonstrated the high quality of advertising standards available in Bahrain.
"This success gives Batelco a big boost and validates all our hard work. It also spurs us on to continue with our efforts with the aspiration to bring further success for Batelco in 2011."
Batelco's success follows on from its recent recognition at the MENA Cristal Awards when Batelco took home a total of 19 awards for their innovative and successful advertising campaigns of 2010. This was the highest number of awards from amongst 1200 entries and therefore Batelco was also named as the Client of the Year. Furthermore, at the end of last year, Batelco was the most successful entrant at the GEMAS Effie MENA Awards 2010, taking home more awards than any other entrant in the annual event. Batelco's participation at both the MENA Cristal Awards and the GEMAS Effie MENA awards was also in cooperation with FP7.Back
